🥊 Adventure & Activities

Muay Thai, diving, kayaking, ziplining — the active side of your trip.

Beyond the beach chair, Thailand is genuinely good at active travel — and cheap at it. Koh Tao is the least expensive place in the world to get scuba certified. Railay is a world-class rock-climbing destination. The Andaman sea caves are among the best kayaking anywhere.

And there is Muay Thai, which is not a tourist attraction that happens to be Thai but the national sport, trained by children in every province. A beginner pad session with a trainer is one of the most enjoyable two hours you can spend here, and no fitness prerequisite applies.

Most of it is bookable a day or two ahead, and most of it is far more beginner-friendly than it looks from outside.
